“All Things New”
2 Corinthians 5:14–17 (NKJV)
Vision Theme for 2026

“ALL THINGS NEW”
Declaration: “I’m becoming who God wants me to be.”
In 2025 you were challenged to Believe • Belong • Become.
In 2026 you are called to move deeper into transformation:
1. Believe
– Trust God, trust the process, hear God clearly, and respond in worship
2. Belong
– Honor God, honor yourself, honor others; create an environment for healing
3. Become
– Represent God everywhere; be the light; live as an ambassador for Christ
Scripture Reading (NKJV)
2 Corinthians 5:14–17
“For the love of Christ compels us… Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
SERMON NOTES
1. We Will Be Compelled by Love
2 Corinthians 5:14 NKJV
“For the love of Christ compels us…”
Paul speaks of the resurrection and final judgment, then declares the driving force behind his ministry—the love of Christ.
This love is not general human affection—it is sacrificial, saving, redeeming love:
What is the love of Christ?
- “One died for all.”
- Jesus laid down His life willingly (John 15:13 NKJV).
- The greatest love ever demonstrated.
How do we receive this love?
- Recognize daily evidence of God’s love.
- Allow God to love you through grace, provision, protection, and mercy.
- Grow your love for God day by day—“more today than yesterday, but not as much as tomorrow.”
How will this love show up in 2026?
The love of Christ will compel us to:
- Produce spiritual fruit
- Use our spiritual gifts for Christ
- Believe God’s Word by faith
- Praise God in every circumstance
- Enter into deeper worship
- Serve God with purpose
Reflection Questions
- What does the sacrificial love of Christ mean to you personally?
- In what areas of your life do you need to let God love you more fully?
- How can growing in love for God change the way you approach 2026?
2. We Will Live for Christ
2 Corinthians 5:15–16 NKJV
“…those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.”
Because of Christ’s sacrifice:
- We no longer live self-centered lives.
- Christ gives us purpose, identity, and direction.
- We become sons and daughters of God (John 1:12 NKJV).
Living for Christ changes how we see people
Paul says we no longer view people “according to the flesh.”
We don’t evaluate:
- Their past
- Their mistakes
- Their status
- Their background
Instead, we see:
- Potential
- Purpose
- Passion
- God’s work in them
This shift shapes:
- Our decisions
- Our conversations
- Our attitudes
- Our grace toward one another
- Our forgiveness
- Our hope
Because I belong to God’s family:
- “I’m in God’s family!”
- I have a divine identity.
- I have a place in the church.
- I live with kingdom purpose.
Reflection Questions
- Are you living more for Christ or for yourself right now?
- How would your relationships change if you saw everyone through Christ’s eyes?
- What does belonging to God’s family mean for your daily decisions?
3. We Will Be Made New
2 Corinthians 5:17 NKJV
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
This is not surface-level change.
It is spiritual re-creation.
Becoming “new” means:
- God gives you a new identity
- God changes your heart
- God renews your mind
- God restores your purpose
- God heals your past
- God empowers your future
Witness Protection Analogy
In Christ, God:
- Protects you
- Relocates you spiritually
- Provides for you
- Watches over you
- Gives you a new identity
But unlike earthly programs, God transforms your soul—not just your paperwork.
What God can make new:
- Your name and identity
- Your character and conduct
- Your outlook and attitude
- Your habits
- Your relationships
- Your purpose
- Your future
2026 is the year of NEW:
- New faith
- New authority
- New worship
- New relationships
- New opportunities
- New households
- New communities
- New spiritual growth
- New generations raised up
Reflection Questions
- What “old things” do you need God to help you let go of?
- Where do you most need God to make you new in 2026?
- Which area of your life reflects the newness Christ has already begun in you?
INVITATION TO SALVATION
God created you and loves you. But sin separates us from Him.
Through Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection, we can receive eternal life.
Prayer:
“God, thank You for creating me and loving me. I confess that I have sinned and I ask You to forgive me. I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose from the dead. I confess Jesus as Lord and Savior of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
